This is the Friday update for the 300\400 block Of N Washington Streetscape project: Previous week: · City crews were scheduled to isolate the water main on the morning of Wednesday March 6 to remove the old hydrant and reset it in the new location. However during the valve exercising on Monday it was determined that the operating nut at the valve in the intersection of Rusk and N Washington was not functioning. The work has been rescheduled for Sunday morning March 11thto try to limit the impact. · Formwork for the sidewalks has begun at the intersection of Burleson and N Washington in order for the relocation of the hydrant. Next week look ahead: · Change order for the replacement of the storm pipe on the west side of 300 block was approved by Council on March 7th. · Contractor will begin the layout next week and procure the pipe and materials. · Forming for sidewalks will continue on the east side weather permitting. · Work on the new inlet box at the northeast corner of the eastside block will continue.
